Training ‘Starting in Germany’

-> This training was given in 2022, but don’t worry: Brilliant Work can organize a customized training for your company and/or we can offer (subsidized) export advice for Germany. For this, please feel free to contact us.

The growth forecast for the German market is excellent for the coming years. The fact that we, as companies in the East Netherlands, are located so close to Germany offers us good business opportunities right now. But that does require a thorough approach. Precisely good preparation for the German market makes the difference between success and failure.

Entrepreneurs with concrete plans to expand their activities to Germany can participate in the group training ‘Starting in Germany’.

Do you want…

  • your own concrete and practical plan of action that you can start working on immediately?
  • a lot of practical information from other Dutch entrepreneurs in the German market?
  • handy tips and useful tools for doing business in the German market?

The ‘Starting in Germany’ training is 100% practically oriented and provides you with the foundation for a plan that is also workable and achievable within your organization.

Active participation from every entrepreneur is expected. This means preparation based on questions for each part of the training so that good choices are made for their own ‘Plan of Action’. It is also possible to receive personal follow-up guidance after each part of the training. During the final training session, a presentation of their own Plan of Action will be given, where mutual reflection and evaluation will take place among the group and the participating entrepreneurs.

Who went before you? or Who preceded you?

Ron ten Broeke and Henk Bolster participated in the ‘Plan van Aanpak Starten in Duitsland’ training. Their company Beweegwijs (www.beweegwijs.nl) has now been active in German primary education for several years under the name 1tomove (www.1tomove.com).

The trainers took us into the German business culture. We received practical tools to be able to make a good start. Beforehand, we thought that the Netherlands and Germany would be almost the same. But through the course, we learned to realize that there are significant differences that you need to know to do business successfully in Germany.

For example, we were introduced to an accounting firm, and we heard from Dutch entrepreneurs who talked about doing business in Germany. Jan went with us to the consulate in Düsseldorf and advised us on making appointments and the way of working in Germany, clothing, language, and etiquette.

We now know much more about education – our field – and how we can approach them. The funding of education and the differences with the Netherlands are now also very clear. We could ask anything, and even now Jan advises us on request and also makes contacts for us.”
