Personal data we process

Brilliant Work processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. This can be via telephone or email, or for example, when you have given your business card to one of our employees. We do not buy or sell address files.

The personal data we process are those data that appear on a business card, such as company name, name of contact person, position, email address, phone number, and company website.

If you are also a client of ours, we naturally also collect data needed to send the invoice (such as your Chamber of Commerce number and the IBAN of the account you use for business payments). In addition, we keep email correspondence, meeting notes, and documents that you have provided to us or we have provided to you, all in relation to the assignment we are performing for you.

We use this data to collect your payment, send you our newsletter, call or email you if necessary to perform our services, inform you of changes to our services and products, or to deliver services (it’s helpful if we arrive at the right address!)

We only share this data with parties we are legally obliged to, such as the tax authorities for all our clients, or organisations from which our clients receive subsidies, such as the RVO or Oost NL, and only where this is necessary for the subsidy application or subsequent verification by the authorities.

In addition, we naturally use CRM systems and online accounting systems to process and bill your data. These are reputable, large organisations that operate in line with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

We keep personal data for a maximum of four years, unless you have been a customer of ours. In that case, we keep them for seven years.

View, modify, or delete data

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing or to object to Brilliant Work processing your personal data. You also have the right to data portability, meaning you can request us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation you’ve specified.

You may send a request to access, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data, or to revoke your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to info@brilliantwork.nl

To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. On this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone – the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Brilliant Work would also like to remind you that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). This can be done via the following link: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/nl/contact-met-de-autoriteit-persoonsgegevens/tip-ons
